Your lips have more nerve endings (1million) than any other part of your body. When you press them against another set of lips, or even warm skin, it just feels good. Along with the oxytocin and dopamine that make you feel affection and euphoria, kissing releases serotonin, another feel-good chemical.
The best way to kiss someone is with a combination of soft, natural lips and a little tongue. Do not get too intense too quickly. Kissing is supposed to gentle and affectionate. Good kissing leads to feelings of bonding and attachment. Sharing a kiss creates and maintains a feeling of connectedness, which is important, both early in a relationship and over time.
Good kissing can also lead to arousal and sex. Kissing can be more intimate than sex. When you kiss, you can feel the warmth in your heart. You can taste the sweetness of lips. You can experience the intimacy of minds and bodies joined. According to “Elite Daily,” a kiss is supposed to last at least 10 seconds. It is not a make out session, however.
Signs you are a bad kisser:
- If he or she is backing or wiggling away from you. That is a sign you are kissing to forcefully.
- Bad Breath. Pop a mint or brush your teeth and tongue.
- Your teeth can be a turn off.
- Most of your tongue is inside his or her mouth.
- You are darting your tongue in and out.
Above all else, try to focus on finding the kissing styles and techniques that you enjoy the most. Remember, kissing is supposed to be fun! Follow what feels good. Pay attention to the signals your partner is sending you, and chances are, you will not be doing it "wrong"!
