What is QUEEF?
Also known as vaginal gas or flatulence.
The noise is similar to a fart, but it's not the same thing at all… and has no smell. Queefing is releasing air that's trapped in the vagina. This noise comes from the vagina during sex changing positions from missionary to doggy style, yoga, working out, sitting crossed legged, tampons, sometimes vaginal exams, diaphragms, menstrual cups, fingers or sex toys going in and out of the vagina bringing additional air along with it. it is part of having a vagina.
Can I avoid QUEEF?
Not much one can do to avoid QUEEF. Some say kegel exercises, which strengthen the pelvic floor muscles can help with QUEEF. According to Everyday Health, one can limit queef by choosing a sex position that doesn’t involve bending over.
My QUEEF has an odor.
If you experience any odor after queef seek medical attention. This may be caused by vaginal fistulas. A fistula is an abnormal opening that connects the vagina to another organ, such as your bladder, colon, or rectum.
Symptoms of a fistula.
Stomach pain
Painful sex
Diarrhea
Feeling nausea
Discomfort or pain in and around the vagina and rectum
Vaginitis or urinary tract infections that occur frequently
Urine or vaginal discharge that has a strong unpleasant odor
loose stool leaking into your urine
Again seek medical attention if any of these symptoms occur.
