Breast health is very important. In addition to doing self-breast exams and mammograms, which are very important, it is also vital to maintain a healthy weight, exercise at least 30 minutes per day, eat a healthy diet, limit alcohol and take vitamins (Vitamin D is a must). It is also important to massage your breasts (or permit your significant other to massage them for you). Spend time with them, let them breathe.
Take off bras and tight clothing around the chest area. Gently place your hands on your breasts and spread your fingers around them. Massage inwards in a circular motion. Your right hand should move clockwise, with the left hand moving counterclockwise. As you are rubbing your breasts, remember to stroke each one for a couple of seconds up to one minute. Massaging breasts increases blood flow, prevents sagging, relieves stress and depression, and reduces the risk of breast cancer. Breast massage should be repeated for at least two to three times a week. Essence of Nature offers a beautiful duo of products, perfect just for the breasts.
What do normal breasts look like?
When it comes to breasts, almost anything is normal — all sizes, shapes, and colors. Just like with breasts, there's no one way that nipples are supposed to look. Both nipples and areolas (the circular skin around your nipple) come in different sizes and colors, from light pink to brownish-black.
Why are your Areolas important?
Areolar connective tissue serves quite a few functions and is found in various places of the body, such as surrounding your blood vessels, nerve bundles, muscles, and organs. It also fills spaces between organs and, more superficially, connects your skin to your underlying muscular layers.
Foods For Good Breast Health
- Cruciferous veggies. Broccoli, kale, cabbage, cauliflower, and collard greens belong to this group.
- Plant-based protein. Numerous studies found that diets with more plant-based protein, instead of meat, retard breast cancer development.
- Flax Seeds.
- Oily Fish.
Do Breasts continue to grow?
Though they technically stop growing when a woman is in her early 20s, weight gain, pregnancy and hormonal drugs – such as the pill – can enlarge breast size.
Does breast age?
As you age, the tissue and structure of your breasts begin to change. This is due to differences in your reproductive hormone levels caused by the natural process of aging. As a result, your breasts begin to lose their firmness and fullness. This is why it is important to take time with your breasts because they go through changes as we age.
Common breast changes due to age.
- Stretch marks.
- Downward pointed nipples.
- Elongated, stretched or flattened appearance.
- Wider space between the breasts.
- Lumpiness, which may be due to benign fibrocystic changes in the breasts, or serious conditions like breast cancer.
See your doctor if you have the following breast changes:
- Thickening of breast skin.
- A pulled in nipple.
- Nipple discharge.
- Breast pain.
- Hard lumps.
- One breast looks significantly different than the other.
Breasts and Sex
When touched and teased the right way, your boobs can help you better enjoy sex, enhancing your arousal and priming your body for more explosive orgasms. When you’re aroused, the sensitivity of your breasts increases (just like your clitoris!). In fact, according to Explore Health, when your nipples are sexually stimulated, it triggers the release of oxytocin, the bonding hormone released when you have an orgasm.Reference:
